The Bakersfield Mavericks 9U Boys baseball team will provide young boys with the opportunity to play competitive baseball at a level that will allow them to develop their individual skills and team play to the highest level at which they are capable of playing.  We will provide a positive and creative environment for advanced players to improve their baseball skills.  Each player will have the potential to reach his maximum level of performance while being held accountable for home and school behavior.

 

            Total player development will be fostered in an environment that builds individual confidence along with team success.  Our goals will be achieved through hard work and dedication from not only each player but their family as well.

 

            Every individual opportunity is earned by hard work and dedication.  Players exhibiting these attributes will receive maximum playing time and success.  Our players will work together as a team and in positions that ensure team success, not individual success.  Teaching our boys sportsmanship goes a long way in developing character.

           

Our Teams Will

 

• Play in the BSWB Fall and Spring Club Leagues

• Participate in out-of-town and in-town tournaments, based on team input

• Create an environment to learn and play baseball while having fun

• Exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the field

• Create a positive culture of team success

• Balance player development goals with competitive goals

• Strive for all players to get as much playing time as available

 

Our Players Will

 

• Recognize that baseball comes after family, schoolwork, and being a good community citizen

• Exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the field

• Respect all coaches and players on the team

• Communicate issues, including playing time concerns, personally with the coaches at appropriate times

 

Our Parents Will

 

• Allow players to be the primary source of communication with the coaches.

• Support coaches with playing time decisions

• Positively support all players on the team

• Offer to support the club in various volunteer opportunities

• Promptly pay all monthly club dues of $50 a month to cover all expenses
